My 'Girlfriend' Dana !!
Dana was my very first friend at the Young Woman's Christian Home when
I arrived in the Capital of U.S on a snowy Saturday in February 2006. I remember how we were having a lovely pasta meal
in the dining room when I caught sight of snow flakes falling outside the window. When I excitedly told Dana that I had never
seen snow before, she said that we should go out to the snow the next day, and that was it!!
What a lovely picture taken at the Washington Monument, the tallest
structure in the District of Columbia. I was extremely fortunate to be acquainted with two God-loving and talented
sisters who devote their lives to help others - Carrie (younger sister in blue) and Stacie (older sister in red). Stacie is
an author, singer, speaker, actress and founder of Bright Light Ministry. Carrie is also a founder of www.UnitedForMovieAction.com. The lovely and petite girl on the left is Jo Jones. She's from Indiana
and she now works in the Library of Congress in D.C.
This is one of my favorite pictures with Russell because I think we both
look great here!! There's also a special story that goes along with this pic. Russ invited me to join him at the Zoo to promote
"Recycling" to the visitors. We spent a day at the booth, explaining to passers-by the usefulness of recycling and the products
it generated. I noticed that whenever Russ was out of sight for a little while, the kids would come running to me and asked
for little souvenirs. Hehe...
This is taken at Russell's birthday party. I remember we had a fairly
crazy day whereby Russ performed a wild dance for us! Notice our "International mix" - each of us represents our country.
From left to right: South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, America, Nepal and China. Interesting isn't it? ;) Like Russell,
Ann (the girl on farmost right) is a very dear friend of mine.
This is Rachel (in a blue top) at the Mongolia 800 festival at Smithsonian
Museum in Washington D.C. She is one of the most talented persons I know. She makes the most artistic hats and scarves
I've ever seen! Rachel is also an excellent teacher. She patiently taught me how to knit my very first scarf! Oh yeah, she
travels quite a lot too. She had been to Iceland and even wrote a book about her experiences!
