Easter celebration: (clockwise L-R) Me, Dana, Carrie, Stacie, Albertina, Jo & Candy |
This is my close-knitted group of friends - girls whom I stayed with
in Washington D.C. They are from all over the United States and Europe! Carrie and Stacie (both sisters) are from Iowa. Dana
and Jo are from Indiana. Candy is from Mississippi. Albertina is from Holland. And I, of course, am from Singapore :)

(L-R) Jennifer, Geralyn, Me & Michela |
These are the girls whom I really enjoyed having long soulful conversations
with. Jennifer is from Vermont; Geralyn is from Texas; me from Singapore; and Michela is from Germany! You see, girls
who come from all over the world are united under one roof. Isn't it cool? ;)

(Clockwise L-R): Sebastian, Max, Charlie, Mandy & Me |
Here are the NJC interns! I think all of us enjoyed the weekly
seminars and fabulous free meals. Mandy and I are the only female interns, and we like to hang out after the Friday seminars,
going shopping or sightseeing.

Russell and I taking a picture during the famous Cherry Blossom season in Washington D.C. |
I met Russell during a environment 'luncheon' at "Friends of
the Earth" and since then, my life in D.C. has never become less exciting! Russ works for the D.C department of Public Works,
so he's for sure very 'environmentally friendly', haha. Russ is extremely sociable and all his friends love him to bits. Through
him, I met many wonderful friends like Eamonn, Ann, Lilia, Bill and others who have deep, profound knowledge and respect of
Asian culture :)

Going shopping with couple friends, Eamonn and Ann. |
Eamonn and Ann are two very precious friends of mine in D.C. Eamonn is also
a Karate instructor and he's really good at it (www.karateknights.com). Ann makes the best dumpling soup ever, and she studied Chinese
medicine. The kind couple even allowed me to stay with them on my last two days in D.C. Oh yeah, they have
a dog named "Wally" who looks like a little horse 'cos he's really huge!
